Jordan Szala, the sole artist of Hold Hand Goods is a printmaker based in Kalamazoo, MI whose colorful woodcut prints explore connection using pattern, fluid line work, layering and abstraction through themes of the natural world. She received her BFA in Printmaking from Grand Valley State University in 2017 and began her focus on woodcut relief prints in 2024. Her prints have shown in Solo Exhibitions, juried National and Regional Group Exhibitions, and juried Fine Arts fairs across the Midwest.
Deeply inspired by the natural world, my work explores connection, movement and color through woodcut prints. Focused on reduction techniques, I layer patterns, fluid line work and abstracted images of flora and fauna to investigate the ways in which we collaborate, respond to and merge with one another.
